Bubbling flesh.
A reek of fresh death.
What little is left.
Burbles and boils, seeping fluids and oils.
Acid soaked skin.
And fire within.
Fever simmering.
Seething botulin.
Body stretched thin.
Not a single way it could win.
Organs are giving in.
Nearly time to throw them all in the bin.
Not a single way it could win.
But that's alright, I'm not giving in.
Bearing no complaint.
Happy enough to live with the taint.
I known something ain't right.
But I'm not gonna let it keep me up all night.
Caverns of rot and seeping skin.
Muscles breaking down, eaten from within.
My body's really giving up.
But that don't mean that I won't live it up.
Pits of dead flesh.
Endless bodily distress.
But the brain's doing just fine.
Body shakes with physical unrest.
For which there are no means to suppress.
But that's all fine, happy to enjoy my time alive.
Bubbling flesh.

Burbles and boils, seeping fluids and oils.
Acid soaked skin.

Fever simmering.
Seething botulin.

Ἡ εἰκών was an impressive debut, but way too short! Luckily, Ψευδομένη arrives to satisfy the urge for more of what made its precedessor hit hard and fast: some atmospheric moments (don't be deterred as this is still brutal, dissonant and disgusting to the core) and at the same time, J.L. is exploring longer tracks - e.g. my personal favourite - and implementing some cavernous lows. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's most likely that this man refuses to stand still. What a pace! David Fischer
