The coast is the edge of the fathomless night.
Burnt by the sun and stung by the spray.
Waves of despair rip all comfort away.

Wretched and hungry, spirit in tatters.
Eyes stare at nothing as the heart cracks then shatters.

What is left to you?
What point left in living?
Questions never answered.
But if no reason to be remains to you,
How then would you end it?
How then will you finally end it?

Emptiness.
Drowning in light, gestating doubt.
Fathomless.
Emptiness within and little else without.
