The weak will be devoured by the strong.
May be a quick end or a death prolonged.
Eaten alive or killed and stashed for later.
Which ever lust at the time is greater.
Crawling up from below.
Glowing eyes, jagged teeth.
Radiating primordial hunger.
Glistening eyes peer out from beneath.
Shining bright with a primal lust.
A primal lust for destruction.
A monstrous store of hoarded filth.
Body parts of the ones they killed.
They will just keep them coming until the place is filled.
Cavern lurkers.
Sewer dwellers.
Subterranean killers of men.
No escape down below.
You can hear them feeding.
Just keep on breathing.
Heart's still beating.
Well at least that's something.
Can't stop from thinking.
About who they're eating.
Your anger's seething.
Just concentrate on breathing.
Cavern lurkers.
Sewer dwellers.
Subterranean killers of women.
No escape down below.
What were you looking to find?
How could you ever hope to get away?
You cannot escape from here.
Down in the sewers is where you will stay.
You should have never looked inside.
Your only chance is to run, you cannot hide.
Now that you're in here the door is closed behind.
Whispered stories, muttered rumours.
Multiplying in your brain, budding like frantic tumours.
Couldn't ever get them out of your head.
How could you ever forget?
Wanted to know the how and the why.
But now that you're down here you just want to stay alive.
Snuck in here, you disappeared.
Trapped beneath the city, nobody knows that you're here.
Couldn't ever get them out of you head.
Never had a bigger regret.
Desperate just to stay alive.
But now that you're trapped here it looks like you're just going to die.
What were you looking to find?
How could you ever hope to get away?
You cannot escape from here.
Down in the sewers is where you will stay.
To run from them for as long as you can.
Until your legs give out or they find you.
When they do they will tear you apart.
Eat all the organs and start with the heart.
Beating rocks into your skull.
The bigger ones may eat you whole.
Cavern lurkers.
Sewer dwellers.
Subterranean killers of men.
No escape down below.
Lying dead in a dark fucking hole.
What little they left of you is growing cold.
Dead in a hole.
Ἡ εἰκών was an impressive debut, but way too short! Luckily, Ψευδομένη arrives to satisfy the urge for more of what made its precedessor hit hard and fast: some atmospheric moments (don't be deterred as this is still brutal, dissonant and disgusting to the core) and at the same time, J.L. is exploring longer tracks - e.g. my personal favourite - and implementing some cavernous lows. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's most likely that this man refuses to stand still. What a pace! David Fischer
